Join us for the opening night of Film in the Field Festival with a special outdoor 35mm screening of Casablanca (1942) beneath the summer sky in Slindon, West Sussex.
Widely regarded as one of the greatest films ever made, Casablanca remains a timeless story of romance, sacrifice and wartime intrigue, presented exactly as it was originally intended to be seen, projected on traditional 35mm film.
Film in the Field is a new outdoor cinema festival presented by Slindon Cinema, celebrating classic films projected on real film in a relaxed countryside setting.

Doors Open: 7:00pm
Film Start: Approximately 8:30–9:00pm at dusk
Expected Finish Time: Approximately 11:00pm
Parking: Free parking available adjacent to the venue
Accessibility: Step-free access and accessible toilet facilities available
Food & Drink: Outdoor bar open from 7pm & BBQ provided by The Forge Café before the screening

Please bring your own deck chairs, camping seats or blankets, as seating is not provided.
Warm clothing is strongly recommended for later in the evening.

About The Film
Rick Blaine runs a nightclub in Casablanca during the Second World War, where he unexpectedly encounters former lover Ilsa Lund and her resistance leader husband Victor Laszlo. Forced to confront old feelings and difficult choices, Rick must decide between love and sacrifice.
