About the event

For our second night of the Film in the Field Festival we're screening a very special 35mm print of The Railway Children (1970).

This much-loved British classic follows three children forced to move from London to rural Yorkshire after their father is unexpectedly taken away. Warm, nostalgic and beautifully photographed, The Railway Children remains one of the defining family films of British cinema.

Presented outdoors on traditional 35mm film, this screening celebrates the enduring magic of cinema on film in a unique rural setting.
