About the event
For our second night of the Film in the Field Festival we're screening a very special 35mm print of The Railway Children (1970).
This much-loved British classic follows three children forced to move from London to rural Yorkshire after their father is unexpectedly taken away. Warm, nostalgic and beautifully photographed, The Railway Children remains one of the defining family films of British cinema.
Presented outdoors on traditional 35mm film, this screening celebrates the enduring magic of cinema on film in a unique rural setting.

Parking: Free parking available adjacent to the venue

Food & Drink: Outdoor bar open from 7pm & BBQ provided by The Forge Café before the screening

Warm clothing is strongly recommended for later in the evening.

About The Film
After moving to the countryside with their mother, Roberta, Peter and Phyllis find adventure, friendship and mystery along the local railway line, while hoping for the return of their missing father.
